Terms of Use
Version 1.0 · Effective April 2025 · ANIML Health
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the VAULT platform and API, operated by ANIML Health ("we", "us"). By accessing or using VAULT, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the platform.
2. Access and Eligibility
Access to VAULT is by approval only. You must: (a) be 18 years of age or older; (b) represent a legitimate organization involved in veterinary AI development or research; (c) have received written approval from ANIML Health; and (d) have signed the Participant Agreement.
Access may be revoked at any time for any reason, including but not limited to policy violations, suspicious activity, or operational decisions by ANIML Health.
3. Intellectual Property
All benchmark datasets, grader software, evaluation infrastructure, reports generated by VAULT, and the VAULT name and brand are the exclusive intellectual property of ANIML Health.
You retain ownership of your model, your inference endpoint, and any proprietary technology you bring to the benchmark. By participating, you grant ANIML Health a limited right to call your registered endpoint for the sole purpose of benchmark evaluation.
Benchmark result metrics in your reports are licensed to you for internal use and, upon consent and approval, for publication as described in the Governance Charter. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute VAULT benchmark data or reports.
4. Acceptable Use
Your use of VAULT is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5. Data
Your use of participant data is governed by the Data Access Policy and Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
VAULT is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. ANIML Health does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that benchmark results will be accurate in all cases. Benchmark results are evaluation metrics, not clinical certifications or regulatory approvals.
VAULT benchmark scores are not a substitute for regulatory evaluation, clinical validation, or professional judgement in real-world veterinary practice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ANIML Health will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use VAULT, including loss of data, business, or profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
ANIML Health's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of VAULT is limited to the fees paid by you to ANIML Health in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ANIML Health from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of VAULT, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate participation at any time. Upon termination, your API keys are revoked and access to the platform ceases. Published leaderboard entries remain unless removal is requested and approved.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
